Army Of Two

May 26th 2008 14:11
Many gamers have always been into the action/shooting genres of games, And with Army Of Two brought to you by EA this falls right into that category.

You star as one of 2 private military contractors or PMC's named Rios and Salem and your a near indestructible team battling all the dirty jobs the government doesn't want to handle.

The graphics on this game are quite good, however not the best around. The lighting and textures are decent and they fit the game well, Though that's once again not the games strong point.

The story is a bit dull and it only offers 12 - 15 hours of game play but something draws you back and is a replayable game. The customization in this game is definitely where the fun is. There is a range of weapons all which have at least 3 customizable features with different levels of power within each one and the max I'd estimate would be 10. An example is a longer barrel for your AK47 or a larger clip for your Desert Eagle .50AE. You can also purchase new face masks which freshen up your character.

Single player is fun and the AI character does quiet well with the occasional stuff up. The commands for your AI buddy work well 90% of the time. This game is truly a co-op masterpiece however. The same screen co-op is good on a larger TV as smaller TV's you may find it difficult to see some smaller details. You can also play co-op via Xbox Live which i never had a problem with and seems to have a very good rate of low lag.

Another key element to this game is a little thing called 'Agro'. During battle if you or your partner fires wildly at the enemy, you will begin to glow red. This is signaling all the enemies attention is on you and your partner will turn partly transparent and will be able to sneak around behind the enemies lines.

All in all this game is well made and quiet fun. I would recommend it for regular gamers with a house mate or a gold Live subscriber as single player isn't nearly as fun as co-op. It lacks some game play hours but if you have no problem replaying games this title might be worth buying although I'd recommend renting it.

It's a great idea for a game -- Is it a PC game?
